I wanted to do something about how youtube is a helpful learning tool and not just a place where people can post funny or stupid videos of themselves. The article that I found is called Engaging Younger Workers Using YouTube to Create Rapid Learning Simulations. This article’s goes in depth about how they use it for training in office situations. I wanted to focus on students benefiting from this website but this ended up being even better. It talks about how people dread going to lecture based orientation and how it tends to bore most people. It looks as though almost everyone would prefer to watch a youtube video on certain topics. The article also talks about how to create an effective youtube video to train employees. It simply states that if your video is successful then the learners will do the job correctly. If the video does not work than the employees will not do their job that they were taught correctly. Basically this is a quick article about what you can do in harnessing youtube for learning experiences.
I wonder if this is the kind of thing I want to be talking about. Should I do youtube’s effectiveness in the workplace? Or, something about teachers and students using it within the class or school projects? I found it interesting that I started to research the learning aspects of youtube in school, and the first thing that I found was how it helps with seminars in the workplace. I did not even think about that. The confusing part of this article was how more than half of it was on how to successfully put an informative video onto youtube; although I think this could be a good part of my inquiry, to touch on that subject a little bit. If I could ask to know more about this topic I would search more on youtube’s informative aspects in the class room, not in a workplace. I think it would just relate more to my peers and to myself since I am a student who uses this website quite often. This article would be very useful if I decide to put a section in my paper about how to upload a successful informative video onto youtube.

Article"mad white jamaican"http://www.jamaicans.com/articles/primeinterviews/MadWhiteJamaican.shtmlThis article is and interview with a video blogger on YouTube who calls him self the mad white Jamaican. The interviewer, Xaivier Murphy, asks him a bunch of questions about Jamaica which was a cool and everything. What really got my attention is when the mad white Jamaican was asked how he make friends from his videos. In short he said that he has a lot of friends from his activity online and it is had to keep in contact with all of them. He also went on to say that he usually keeps in contact with all of his viewers through the comments that he receives on his videos.I also enjoyed what he had to say about the making of the videos i learned that for one video it usually takes him up to 3 hours after recording and editing before he posts each video. If i was in an interview with the Mad White Jamaican i would ask him three questions. One, where did you get your inspiration to start making a video blog? Two, when did you first start? Three, do you ever chat with any of the other highly watched video bloggers on YouTube? I thought this article was extremely interesting and i will include this in my final paper.
